Paige Evans Bungalow Lane | Sam Ball
Morning Magpies, I’m so excited to be scrapping with Bungalow Lane, the latest collection from Paige Evans!
I can’t quite believe that another month has flown past! Here we are already in the middle of September! This can only mean it’s time for my blog post!
For this month I chose the fabulous ‘Bungalow Lane’ collection by Paige Evans… It’s a heady mix of fabulous colours, many of which work with a multitude of photos, making it a really universal collection to use.
I was especially drawn to ‘Paper 3’. It’s such a pretty mix of blue and green tones that perfectly match a favourite photo of mine, so it just had to be scrapped! I love the patchwork triangle effect too!
The collection has a predominantly homely, crafty feel. However, it also features Paige Evans signature ‘eclectic’ things! Why have a random armchair and rabbit – because you can of course!
After adding gesso to my cardstock, I decided to reach for my gelatos. It’s a while since I opened them and I love the effects that they give!
After finishing the background, I added oxide ink splatters. I then coloured up some plain paper using a selection of greens, so that I could die-cut an assortment of leaves and trailing fronds.
You can never go wrong with chipboard, and although I fully intended to use a few pieces from it, in the end I didn’t use any, having removed the title at the last minute!
The sticker books are becoming a firm favourite with me. The American Crafts ones seem to include a mix of regular stickers and washi tape like ones, that are almost semi-transparent. They also offer a great selection of little words, something that I tend to add to my layouts.
I wouldn’t usually choose epoxy stickers as an embellishment. However, some of the Bungalow Lane ones have metallic detailing which seems to make them appear less glossy!
I can’t wait to scrap with this collection again, and really enjoyed getting creative and making this layout.
