Our life documented with Simple Stories.
Hi there, Sheena here x
As I’m sure you have noticed the new ranges are appearing in the shop now with lots of lovely new stash to suit everyone . I certainly felt spoilt for choice & after lots of cooing & virtual stroking I chose some the Simple Stories – Life Documented range, particularly the die cuts and the stickers, thinking I would use them on my Project Life pages which I’ve finally caught up to date with. But when they arrived I realised they were perfect for making pages with too.
My Life Today.
I placed my cardstock cut using the silhouette over the Life Documented – Bold Moves paper leaving plenty of the vibrant colour showing through. Using the circular numbers from the die cuts bits & pieces pack as the starting point I mapped out an ordinary day for me. I kept the photos small, 2in square so I could include 8 in total. I really enjoyed embellishing the page using more of the die cuts, Icon stickers, label stickers, word strip stickers and calendar stickers mounted on foam pads for dimension.
I particularly loved the small calendar stickers with their icons on & I’ve still got loads left for my PL & other pages.
For my other page I was guided by the bright colours in this range to search for some photos taken when my eldest was little, in a time before digital cameras were common place so consequently the photos aren’t great but by printing them small & including a few you still get a good feel of the event.
Lovely Day.
After misting the cardstock I roughly drew out a grid & then hand stitched it with yellow floss. After placing my photos into position I embellished the grid with stickers, die cuts & plastic clips.
I then added a few wood veneers & stamps to complete the page.
This Simple Stories -Life Documented range is very versatile & suits lots of different styles of paper crafting.
Till next time x
