Our Happy Place – Crate Paper – Moonlight Magic

Hello Magpies, Amy here sharing my 3rd layout using Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic collection. Its a beautiful collection full of pretty florals, woodland creatures, stars and a few fairies too.

Our Happy Place

This is quite a simple layout based on a vertical design. Its a great too layout design when you’re struggling for ideas. Instead of usual white cardstock background, I thought I would stitch it up a bit and have used Vanilla colour. It matched the collection well, especially the floral paper to the right of the layout.

I used some of the fun acetate pieces from the ephemera pack to use as my title and decorative pieces. I placed them down the layout slightly to the left hand side. Down the right side of the layout I placed a bit of small flowered patterned paper and then layered some of the long stickers from the sticker sheet too.

I cut my photo down to a 4″ inche square size and layered it onto some of the patterned paper. I placed this as my layouts focal point above the title. I added a beautiful acetate butterfly from the ephemera pack to the top left corner. I then filled in any spaces in the column using scraps of the papersm puffy stickers and added some sub titles and the date with Doodlebug alphabet soup stickers.

Lastly, to add a special touch to my layout, I placed a yellow wax seal to one side of my photo. It was created using the HLM brass wax seal of a worker bee. Its just beautiful.
