One Canoe Two | Willow Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hi Magpies, I’m back with two more layouts using Willow from One Canoe Two. I really like how this collection can be used for so many themes or events as it has papers and embellishments that can be used for boy or girl pages.
I began my first layout by splattering some drops of inks in three colours to the top half of my background cardstock. Then I back filled a banner style cut file with a variety of patterned papers, which I then added to the lower half of the page.
Then I added some layers to my photo which included part of a journalling card on the left. I placed a butterfly sticker and a some enamel dots on the journalling card. The little bird paper clip is from my own stash but there are lots of others to chose from in the shop!
I fussy cut a little flower corner and glued it to the top right of the photo with three more enamel dots.
Then I chose a title from the puffy sticker pack and glued it over the cut file on the left side, at a slight angle.
I added another butterfly, with two word stickers and more enamel dots underneath the title.
For my second layout I cut two large triangles and tore all the edges apart from those at the top. I glued these in place making sure I had enough space for the photo and embellishments which I wanted to place at the lowest point of the triangle. I backed the photo with two layers and glued it in place with a small piece of stripy paper tucked behind it.
Then I fussy cut some flowers, leaves, petals and a vellum butterfly to add to both the lower left and upper right corners of the photo
In the cluster on the left I included a bird, a plant and a flower sticker to make it more interesting! Plus a little paper phrase.
Then I measured where to place my title so that it fitted in the space below the flower cluster on the right. The journalling went below that with a little heart circle too.
I tore two thin strips of paper to add to the lower edge of the page & curled a bit back to show a flower sticker peeping out. A couple more phrase stickers added the final touches.
With some of the papers and ephemera that was left, I made a few greeting cards too. It’s always useful to have them in case you forget a birthday!
I hope you all get time to scrapbook this month and that you got a sweet Valentine’s Day treat!
Until next month, happy scrapping!
