One Canoe Two Willow | Jo Boland
Hey, it’s Jo back with a couple of layouts using the One Canoe Two collection Willow. The Willow collection has a soft palette of green, yellow, pink and brown, complemented with rose gold accents. It’s perfect for projects about finding joy in the simple things in life.
My first layout ‘Wonderful Life’ celebrates my parents golden wedding anniversary. I used the lovely willow print patterned paper ‘Rest Easy’ for the background and pulled out the yellow and floral pieces from the sticker pack.
The letters spelling ‘Wonderful’ are actually the negative pieces from a Paige Evans cut file. I simply popped them up on foam pads and added some fake stitching with a black pen to accentuate them. I cut the large floral sticker in half and used it in a couple of places, tucking it under the letters. I added a journaling card from the die-cut ephemera pack, enamel dots and a green foam heart from the thickers pack.
I backed the patterned paper on white cardstock and distressed the edges of the paper before adding some yellow clusters of thread for extra texture.
My second layout ‘Simple Pleasures’ uses the Deep Breath patterned paper for the background and strips of the Posies paper placed behind the top and bottom of the layout, these are just seen behind the distressed and torn areas. I used the horizontal band on the patterned paper as a guide for placing my photo and clusters.
This time the florals are from the die-cut ephemera pack, as is the frame (tucked behind the photo), the journaling card, the banner at the bottom and the die-cut title. The hearts, stamp, butterfly and circle sentiment are from the sticker sheet. Lastly I added some enamel dots and some gold ink splatters (precious Heidi Shine from my stash).
