Oasis…
Of all the latest collections launched at CHA 2017, a firm favourite of mine has to be Oasis by Crate Paper!
Whether I’m drawn to it by the stunning green tones of aqua and teal, complemented by the rich raspberry pink and subtle coral colours, or whether its simply a case of “You had me at the Vespa chipboard!”, Crate have excelled themselves this time with Oasis…
And who can resist the odd flamingo or two thrown in for good measure?
‘Hat Patrol’ uses a multi heart file, cut on my silhouette, then stitched around the edge to add detail.
Sometimes I find myself in a predicament as to which paper to cut into first… my mind is saying ‘there’re all so pretty’. In turn I’m thinking, it’s only a piece of paper! Sounds familiar?
I used a selection of papers from the Oasis 6 x 6″ pad – this is often the only way I find I can physically start cutting into a collection! Perhaps we collectively need to thinking of a name for this well known predicament LOL!
All the papers in the Oasis collection are featured in the 6 x 6″ pad – I’m especially in love with the ‘Getaway’ floral paper and even more happy to discover that the 6 x 6″ pad has not one, but two sheets in it!
And how cute are the Oasis co-ordinating buttons?
By the time I was onto my second layout ‘Beautiful’ I had overcome my paper cutting phobia and used an entire 1/2 sheet of the ‘Fly Away’ paper to back the large letters.
Can I reiterate now how much I love that chipboard Vespa!
And the stickers including the pineapple and swimsuit are rather cute too…
If like me, your looking forward to warmer days, why not accelerate straight into Summer and treat yourself to Oasis, one of the cheeriest collections Ive seen in a long time!
My only disappointment would be to say that I ran out of time to create any more layouts, roll on the weekend!
