NSD 2020 | Quote Challenge | Caroline Aston

Hey Magpies, I hope you are enjoying all the challenges so far this weekend. I have challenge number 6 for you. Which is to produce a layout that includes a quote. It can be a favourite quote, a song lyric or even a favourite saying from a relative. 

I created my layout using Vicki Boutin’s Let’s Wander collection and her Mixed Media products. Along with the gorgeous new Thickers from Amy Tangerine.

For my background, I cut myself a circle stencil and applied some of the Dry Powder Paint Pigments mixed with water through it. I removed some of the colour by using a damp stencil brush through the wave stencil and then dabbed it with a paper towel. To finish the background I dry stencilled on some of the Prism Glaze, through the same stencil.

I applied some more of the Prism Glaze, through the stencil with a palette knife onto some scrap white card. Then cut out the waves to layer behind my photo. Matting my photo onto two patterns from the 6×8” Paper Pad and embellishing it with some stickers from the Sticker Book.

I added my quote around the outside of the circle using letter stickers from Pinkfresh Studio. Choosing to emphasise some of the important words with the Thickers. I finished off the page with some enamel dots, a puffy heart and a geotag.
