NSD 2020 Challenge #1 | Niki Rowland
Hey everyone, this is Niki here with the first challenge of this year’s National Scrapbooking Day challenges! My challenge is something that is very out of my comfort zone…to use No White Card!
I have used Shimelle’s Never Grow Up collection for my layout. I chose to use that tree paper for my background to scrap photo of my girlie in our garden.
I trimmed down the background paper and mounted it on kraft cardstock. I’ve used a journaling card from one of the Never Grow Up Cut Apart sheets under my photos – this helped me have a bit of white space, without using white cardstock!
I’ve embellished the layout with cut out pieces from some of the Never Grow Up papers as well as the Floral Ephemera set from the same collection. I also used some bits of copper woodgrain washi tape from my stash, which happened to go with these papers perfectly.
To be in with the chance of winning 1000 Hey Little Magpie Reward points, which is £10 to spend in store, just upload your entries for this challenge to the corresponding album in our Hey Little Magpie Chat & Inspiration Group on Facebook.
For each challenge you enter, you’ll be added into a Grand Prize Draw to win 3000 Hey Little Magpie Reward points, so the more times you enter, the more chances you have to win!
Entries close at midnight on Sunday 17th May so there’s plenty of time to get creating and join in the fun.
I can’t wait to see what you make, happy scrapping!
