Not Just for the Poolside – Crate Paper – Poolside Collection
Hi all, Jackie here with my months blogpost, as we are officially in the summer season, I decided have used the lovely collection from Crate Paper – Poolside, great for all beach, pool, ice-cream eating photos.
She is a Water Dancer
For my first layout, I’ve gone with the poolside theme and used a selection of photographs of my friends daughter in a sychronising swimming competition 3 years ago. I was lucky enough to go and see her in action and it was fantastic. Out of all the photographs I took on that day, I decided to use 4 at 2.5 inch square.
I used Crate Paper – Poolside – Heatwave paper as the background. underneath each photograph I used a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad and some Crate Paper – Poolside – Gold Glitter Plus Sign vellum. Then I layered the three photographs on selection of papers, starting with a 6.5 inch of Crate Paper – Poolside – Sunshine Paper, 6 inch of Crate Paper – Poolside – Splash, and 5 inch of Crate Paper – Poolside Admit One- all these I roughly ripped the lower edge, before adding the 3 layered photographs to the top.
For the 4th photograph at the bottom right of the page, I again used the Crate Paper Poolside – 6×6 Pad and layered a few papers under the photograph, I attached the vellum piece direct to the background, but only glue 3 sides of the layered photograph has I wanted to include a tag with some hidden journalling.
The sticker sheet have some lovely aqua & gold alphabets which I used as part of my title.
To finish the page I added a few of the Crate Paper – Poolside – Chipboard Elements and Crate Paper – Poolside – Die Cuts. I also added a few splashes of Pebbles – gold mist over the page.
Beach Boy
My 2nd layout is a beach one, and when I saw these new wood veneer from Fancy Pants – Making Waves – I know I had to have then – if only for this one word.
I used a selection of papers from the Crate Paper – Poolside – 6×6 pad, to layer under my photographs, and die cut a few of the papers. Again using some of the Crate Paper – Poolside – Chipboard shapes, sticker sheet, die-cuts – which has some vellum words, which I’ve added over the top of one of the photographs.
I also added this lovely camera wood veneer from Crate Paper – Poolside Collection
I Scream for Ice-Cream
And my final layout this month is one for my New York album of me, enjoying a Gelato ice-cream – which is probably one of the best ice-creams I’ve tasted.
I used Crate Paper – Poolside – Sun-n-Fun paper as the background which I inked using yellow and blue mist – which you can see ends up being covered – you can just about see some of the blue mist, and also using some textured paste – though a travel word stencil, to add extra details to the background paper. I mounted the photographs onto papers from the Crate Paper – Poolside – 6×6 pad, and embellished with die-cuts, wood veneer and some of the alphabets from the Sticker sheet as part of my title.
I also added some stamped words using Becky Higgins – Project Life Roller Stamp.
I hope you love this collection as much as I did, and it gives you some ideas on scrapping your summer photographs.
Till next month
