New Year’s Eve Scrapbook Layout – Pinkfresh Studio Paige Evans Very Merry Christmas Collection – Wendy Meffan

This New Year’s Eve layout came together beautifully using the Pinkfresh Studio Paige Evan’s Very Merry Christmas collection, and it perfectly captures the fun of our skiing-themed party. The whole evening was full of cosy winter vibes, playful decorations, and lots of laughter, so I wanted the layout to reflect that same cheerful energy.

I began by fussy cutting several of the charming house scenes from the 12×12 village paper. The tiny snowy rooftops and winter cottages felt just right for echoing the ski-resort mood of the party, almost like creating my own little mountainside village across the page, i raised the houses on sticky fixers for extra dimension. For the background, I used the remaining torn piece from the snowflake paper. The ripped edge gave it a soft, weathered feel, reminiscent of snowy slopes. Under that torn section, I tucked a piece of white braid, which added a touch of wintry texture—almost like a trail of fresh snow.

To build the rest of the background, I pulled in some coloured strips left over from previous layouts. These bits added pops of colour and made the whole page feel lively and layered, while still keeping that frosty winter vibe. It felt good to use up scraps and watch them come together in such a cohesive way.

Next, I added my photo from the party. Everyone had embraced the skiing theme with hats, faux goggles, and cosy jumpers, so the picture itself already had stacks of personality. I layered ephemera around the photo, creating small clusters that highlighted the playful details of the night without distracting from the image. I added a title in Doodlebug Alphabet Soup letters.

To finish the layout, I added a border strip across the top of the page and placed three baubles from the ephemera above it. They brought a festive, celebratory touch—perfect for New Year’s Eve.

The finished page captures the joy, fun, and winter charm of our skiing-themed celebration, wrapped in snowy layers and colourful details.
