Natural History Museum – Arden Creative Studio – Katie Pertiet – Vintage Makers – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here and I’m sharing my second layout using Arden Creative Studio Katie Pertiet Vintage Makers Collection. I love the pastel tones in this collection which suit many outdoor layouts. I have also used the Arden Creative Studio stamps from the Hidden Creek Collection. Hey Little Magpie have recently produced a set of new stencils and I have used the Street Map Stencil for my background.

I started creating my layout on white cardstock and decided I needed to create a background. I chose the new Street Map Stencil from Hey Little Magpie and used Rustic Wilderness distress oxide. I felt this stencil went very well as the Natural History Museum is right in the heart of London. I then used the Stamps from the Hidden Creek Collection which added more interest across the page. I added in the brown Vintage Photo distress oxide to give a bit more colour to the back ground. I had several of photos I wanted to used so split them into three groups. I matted them on papers from the 6 x 8 paper Pad. I positioned them in three staggered lines and then started to embellish around them.

Along the top row of photos I used a combination of the Laser Cuts, Velum ephemera pack and some pop out word phrases from the 6×8 Paper Pad.

I followed the same process to embellish the middle and bottom row of photos, again using the Velum Ephemera and Laser Cuts from the collection. I left a larger gap between the top and middle rows of photos and it worked perfectly to slot my title in here using Doodlebug Gold Alphabet Soup thickers.

Do check out this collection if you’ve not seen it over on the website.

Until next time… Happy Scrapping!

xx
