My Story by My Minds Eye – My Story collection
Hi all, Jackie here with my blog post for this month using the lovely collection from My Mind’s Eye – My Story. I love the gold, mustard and pink tones of this collection.
For my first layout, Best Day Ever – I used one of my wedding photographs for this one, I splatted the background paper with some yellow, gold and pink mist, and I die-cut a heart using my cameo machine, and using the My Minds Eye – My Story 6×6 pad.
I also filled in a few of the spaces in the heart shape with patterned papers from the 6×6 pad, just to add some extra interest to the design.
Using the 6×6 pad I layered a few sheets under my photograph, ripping the lower edge to add some extra detail, I also added a piece of Teresa Collins Arrow Clear Paper, which works really well with this collection.
and for the title I used one of the journalling card that came with this collection, and backed the words with some patterned papers from the My Minds Eye – My Story – 6×6 pad.
To add more definitions to the paper stack I mounted it all on 3D foam at various levels. I finished the page with some wood veneer sequins and hearts – which I stamped on, and a few of the die cut shapes from the die cut pack and a few of the My Minds Eye – My Story – Chipboard buttons
You are My Story – my 2nd layout, I used this lovely My Minds Eye – My Story – Take Aim paper – isn’t it just lush. As much as I loved the design I again splatted the background with some water-down pink mist.
I layered the photograph with some papers from the My Minds Eye – My Story – 6×6 pad – and again added some 3D foam under the layers to make the photograph stand proud of the page. I added some die cut shapes for the die cut pack.
I took the title of this layout from the name of the collection and used the My Minds Eye – My Story – Alphabet Stickers and used the mini alphabets from the sticker sheet.
To finish the page I stamped around the page using Becky Higgins – Project Life – Roller Phase Stamp between some of the gold arrows and I also added a few die cut arrows as well, adding some enamel dots and wood veneer and some wood strips from the My Minds Eye – sticker sheet.
For my final layout, Let’s Celebrate – I used a photograph of me and my friend at our friends wedding. Again using My Minds Eye – My Story – 6×6 pad to add layers to the photographs. I added 3D foam to the photographs.
Using a journalling card for the title, adding enamel dots, and some star wood veneer around the page.
Again I used the Becky Higgins – Project Life – Roller Phase Stamp, to stamp on the background paper. I also added an American Craft – mini camera paperclip,
and some word strips from the My Minds Eye – My Story – Sticker sheet.
I hope that you like how I’ve used this collection and hope you give this collection a try.
Till next time
