My Mind's Eye Splendor | Morag Cutts
I immediately fell in love with the Splendor collection from My Mind’s Eye. The gorgeous botanicals and delightful swans are just up my street!
The die-cut pack is full of pretty flowers, frames and adorable pieces which were crying out to be layered.
I started by stamping a script around the bottom corner. Then I used some netting to add texture. You could use muslin or tulle in the same way.
By layering the die-cuts with some on foam tape, and bending leaves, you’ll create lots of pretty texture and interest.
I like to balance my layouts, so I added another cluster in the opposite corner. I wound twine around a pokey tool to create little tendrils. Isn’t that swan just gorgeous?!
For my next layout I’ve gone for a more linear approach.
I’ve used more die-cuts and fussy cut some flowers from the papers.
I used the die-cut frame as an achor for this cluster of flowers. A few small flags add a bit more detail.
I fussy cut another swan from the Lovely paper (I had to buy another piece of this so I have heaps of swans for my projects). I added a little gold crepe paper for a bit more texture.
The title is from the La La Love collection. It’s worth remembering to mix stickers and titles from other collections.
You can see the full Splendor collection here.
Thanks for popping in. I’m back on 26th with a completely different collection to share.
