My Little Star | Julie Taylor

Julie back with you again today sharing my 2nd layout using the kit I put together. I’ve focused on the star stamps & dies on this one, which are exclusive to Hey Little Magpie.

I had no plan for this layout so firstly I stamped & die cut lots of stars!! I stamped onto patterned paper, white cardstock & vellum which I embossed. I cut a few of the larger stars from the blue & orange patterned papers & then looking at the waste pieces thought they looked good & so began my page.

I cut another strip of the multi coloured strip paper & positioned them all on the white cardstock. I decided to do some stencilling through the star apertures so just marked where they were & stencilled a few small stars so they’d peak out. I then put back the strips of paper & machine sewed them into place.

I stencilled a few more stars on the left & then layered up all my stamped & die cut stars over the edge of the blue star paper, adding some on foam for added dimension.

I also added in a few of the knitted stars, out the store, for added texture.

I positioned my photo, in the centre, just off to the right a bit & added a fussy cut ‘you’re my #1’ pointy finger & a couple of stickers off the 12×12 sticker sheet.

Over on the left hand edge I put the branding strip, from the striped paper, & added the title on top using Bella Blvd Luna alphabets in Bell Pepper & Black.
