My Completed December Daily Journal

Hi again everyone, Niki back with you for a second post this week! This time I am here to share my completed December Daily Journal.

For a walk through the supplies I used and how I went about chosing my kit and put together my base pages, see my previous post back in November, HERE.

As I’d shown off all my base pages I thought I’d pop back to share the finished journal. Well, nearly finished – it’s the 30th today so I haven’t done today’s entry or tomorrow’s but I’ve included as much to show you as I possibly can. I found this year’s journal super easy to keep up with. Last year by the time December arrived I’d only done around 10 of my base pages, so I had to continue working on my base pages during December, whereas this year I had done every single base page before 1st December. I’ve kept a notebook throughout December and simply jotted down a few notes at the end of each day about what I’d done that day, and then printed off my photos in three batches. I’ll obviously have to print the last two photos too, but doing it in those chunks worked well for me. As soon as I added my photos, I wrote in my journaling.

OK, on to the finished layouts – there’s not much more to say really…

DD1 DD2 DD3, 4 DD5 DD6  DD7DD7 (2) DD8 DD9,10 DD11 DD12  DD13DD13(2) DD14 DD15,16 DD17,18 DD19,20 DD21 DD22 DD23 DD24 DD25 DD26,27 DD28(2) DD28 DD29

I’m really pleased with it so far. I have enjoyed having different sized pages, acetate inserts, other inserts that fold out (those arent in page protectors by the way so add some additional texture too). I have hardly added anything else to the layouts as the base pages were already embellished. Only the occasional insert needs something extra, but I’ve been away in December and I didn’t bring my Christmas supplies with me, just the journal and base pages, so I’ll add a few bits when I get home. It really will be very minimal though (there is a photo missing too on one of my inserts – did you notice!)

As I said above I really found this way of working went really well for me this year – the whole process has been very straightforward and I’ve enjoyed it hugely. Everyone I’ve shown loves it. I really feel that keeping a December Daily or similar journal is a lovely project to do and to look back on.
