More Vintage North Pole Fun | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing two more layouts using Vintage North Pole by Simple Stories.
Joyful Days
I started my first layout by adding some mixed media to some white cardstock using texture paste, through a stencil, & inking over the top of it to highlight the shape of the paste.
I then tore a strip of the Merry Memories paper & curled the bottom of it along with some B-side of the 4×6 elements paper & added to the top of the page. I could then work out where to add my stitched word, I wanted it to be large so the Joyful word could go over the top.
I added my photo behind one of the chipboard frames & layered it up with a mat of paper from the 6×8 paper pad.
I die cut a few holly leaves & positioned them around my photo & added a few more off the Foam Stickers pack.
I finished the layout off with a word sticker, felt bow & a jolly Santa.
Ho Ho Ho Santa
I choose to do my second layout on black cardstock to give the collection a different look. I first splattered with white & gold acrylic inks & added some gold stamped stars
I then built my page from the top, going down. I added some curled paper along with pompom trip & a gold doily & then my photo.
I added a banner sticker to the left of the photo & a chipboard banner on top of that.
I cut apart one of the chipboard frames, to just use half of it & added below the photo, along with some bits & pieces die cuts.
At the base of the page, I made a cluster with one of the stickers from the 12×12 cardstock stickers, a layered sticker & a foam candy cane.
I have used loads of this collection, on my pages & still have loads left!! but it’s such a timeless collection it’ll carry on for years to come & will mix & match with all my other Christmas stash.
Thanks for joining me today & hopefully you’re getting into the Christmas spirit.
until next time,
