More Vicki Boutin Storyteller | Sheena Rowlands
Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x
Today I am sharing with you 2 more layouts featuring the Storyteller Collection by Vicki Boutin for American Crafts. This range is so versatile and the more I scrapbook with it the more ideas I have of how I want to use it, it really sparks my imagination.
Using Storyteller – Bohemian patterned paper as my base I used the line stencil from the Wild Soul stencil set to add lines across my patterned paper in a similar colour oxide ink.
I cut the leaves from the medley paper and using my sewing machine sewed veins onto the yellow and orange ones.
I gathered lots of the die cuts and ephemera in complimentary colours to layer behind my photo then added the leaves as if they were falling down the page. The photo cluster was finished with a few stickers and chipboard pieces.
For this layout I wanted to use the 12×12 foiled Storyteller vellum paper and started by punching some circles from it. I also punches a couple from the Assemblage patterned paper. To make a larger circle I taped all the branding strips to a piece of copy paper and then cut it with a circular die. It blends in well I think.
Using the packaging technique, then a variety of stencils and stamps I added detail to the background cardstock which I cut down to 9×12 in. Once the cardstock was dry I added the circles and machine stitched some of the down. I added my title to one and my journalling to another to finish the page.
There is a process video of this layout available on my youtube channel too if you would like to watch how it all came together.
I hope these layouts provide some inspiration on how to use this wonderful Storyteller collection. Please share with us your creations over on our Facebook group.
Till next time x
