More Storyteller, Vicki Boutin | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today, sharing another 2 layouts using the lovely Storyteller by Vicki Boutin.
One of a Kind
I went all out mixed media, on my first layout, using the script stencil from the Wild Soul set & scraped texture paste through it. Once dry I added some magical powders, from my stash, to give the background a fab purple, gold glow & added lots of splatters all over the page.
I then built my page, from the top, coming down. I cut apart some of the elements on the Plot paper & added those at the top. Then put my photo into the frames out the die cut pack & added those, in the centre, using foam tape.
I then started to fussy cut the Mosaic paper, fiddly but satisfying & added those, singually, down the page, picking the colours that complimented.
My title is another cut out from the Storyteller paper & tucked into another die cut frame with extra ephemera tucked in around it.
I finished the page with stickers, from the sticker book & some turquoise stitching.
Love, Love, Love
For my second layout I toned it down a bit with a grid. I love a grid layout & how each piece is like a tiny scrapbook page all on it’s own!! I cut apart the Storyteller paper & added a few cards from the Journalling die cut ephemera. As those had rounded corners I rounded the cut aparts, as well, so they matched.
I then set about embellishing each card with stickers, die cuts, chipboard, puffy phrase & icon stickers & a gorgeous vellum layered butterfly.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my layouts using this collection & I’ll be back next month.
Until next time, happy scrapping
