More Spring Vibes | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today, sharing 2 more layouts using Simple Stories Bunnies & Blooms collection.
Bloom
I started this page by adding the stencil, to the background cardstock, using some texture paste which I then inked over to highlight it some more.
I then built up my clusters around this super, cute photo, using all the garden/plant ephemera out the collection.
I made a couple of paper tassels by fringing some paper, curling it around & securing with a bit of washi tape.
& I just had to add the sweet watering can & enamel dots at the top, to look like they were falling down onto the page!!
So Sweet
My daughter owns a couple of bunnies, who have often appeared on my pages & as this collection has lots of bunnies in it, I thought I’d use these photos I’d took of Amelia cuddling Dotty, whose a gorgeous, sweet girl.
I again started by adding texture paste, through a stencil but then went over it with a wash of watercolours in rainbow colours that matched the collection, keeping it in the centre of the cardstock.
I’d printed off my photos in 2 vertical strips & changed them to black & white so they’d pop off the page. I stuck them at angles to each other & again built my clusters around them, this time using the bunny ephemera from the collection.
I cut down my cardstock & added it to the choose happy paper.
I have really loved using this collection with it’s fab spring vibes!!
If you’ve got any of it please share your layouts over on our facebook site, we’d love to see.
Until next time,
