More Simple Vintage Botanicals | Sheena Rowlands
Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x
Today I am sharing with you 2 further layouts I have created using Simple Stories – Simple Vintage Botanicals. I absolutely love the soft tones this range has to offer.
My Daughter sent me this photo of her in a cafe in Prague & the floral background was my reason to scrap it with this range.
I loved the dreamy watercolour design this Simple Vintage Botanicals – Shine Bright patterned paper had so I based my design over the the bottom right so not to cover too much of it.
I used vintage music paper and net as a base for my photo which sits on a Vintage Botanicals chipboard frame.
I wanted to create a seamless feel so I tucked in a 4×3 journalling card with a lovely sentiment, then added die cut and hand cut flowers around it. I tried to keep to the pink and green colour theme and continued to add embellishments, buttons, brads and stickers then my Vintage Botanicals chipboard title to finish off.
For my second layout I wanted to use the 12×12 banner sticker sheet as I thought it was a great addition to this Simple Stories range.
Follow your Dreams.
Using white cardstock as a base I added the b side of the Vintage Botanicals – 2×2 elements paper to the top of the cardstock and machine sewed it in place. Using the top banner sticker from the 12×12 sheet I attached it loosely using foam pads. Using the banner shaped tag on the sticker sheet as inspiration I cut various patterned papers into banner shapes to compliment it then machine sewed around them before popping them underneath the sticker edge.
Using Vintage Botanicals die cuts, chipboard and stickers I continued to embellish the banner using foam pads for depth. I added a small photo over the sticker frame. I removed the sticker pegs and replaced the with little wooden ones.
The layout title came from the sticker sheet and was just embellished with a few die cuts and enamel dots.
I hope these have inspired you to use this Simple Stories – Vintage Botanicals range. We would love to see what you create over on our Facebook group.
Till next time x
