More Simple Stories Vintage Country Harvest | Sheena Rowlands

Today I’m sharing more of the gorgeous Simple Stories collection – Vintage Country Harvest. I do love autumn colours and the collection ticks all the boxes for me.
Harvest Time.
Our Daughter took us to visit a pumpkin patch which is something we hadn’t ever done before and loved all the photo opportunities and I now have lots of photos to scrap.
Using white cardstock as my base I layered strips of patterned papers includingAutumn Glory and Give Thanks at the top and bottom of the page distressing the edges. I matted my 3 photos on papers from the 6×8 paper pad and added them to the top over a chipboard frame. The frame was cut in two to allow it to show at each end of the strip.
Embellishments were clustered around the photos using stickers, chipboard, die cuts and foam stickers. For the lower strips I added a tag cut from the 6×8 paper pad and added further embellishments to this before adding my title along the edge.
Using a stencil and distress ink some light mixed media was added around the strip clusters to add more interest.
Falling for You.
I’ve really loved using the chipboard frames in this Country Harvest range and for my second layout wanted to make one the focus. Again using a white cardstock base I used distress oxides and the packaging technique to add shades of green down the page and then again for splatters.
After attaching the frame which the photo in it I set about embellishing it with die cut leaves, foam leaf stickers and chipboard pieces. My title came from the Bits and Pieces pack. I added some die cut smaller leaves to give the impression of them tumbling down the page.
On the right I added a little embellishment cluster including the lovely Decorative brads.
