More – Oh, What Fun! – Pinkfresh Studio | Sheena Rowlands

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x

Today I’m sharing 2 more layouts created using the lovely Pinkfresh Studio Christmas collection – Oh, What Fun! I’m playing catch up with my Christmas scrapping and this is a perfect range to do it with.

December Joy.

I had this photo of my Nephew who wore his Santa hat for the whole month of December & literally slept in it too so it really was a story worth documenting.

I loved the Merry Everything patterned paper so much and just couldn’t cut in to it so used it here as my background. To me it says everything Christmas. I added a layer of torn vellum over the print to make it more muted and create a base for my photo.

To tell this story I added a Journalling bits pocket plus two of the tags giving me lots of space to journal. To make them easier to remove I handmade tassels in complimentary colours and attached to each tag. I also added some of the journalling cards as layers behind my photo.

Over the vellum I added some Home for the Holidays and Holiday Walk patterned papers creating a base for my title taken from the puffy phrase sticker pack. I added a couple of embellishment clusters using die cuts  and a few decorations to finish it off.

Traditions at Xmas.

My second layout I focused on the Home for the Holidays patterned paper. I liked it so much I got 2 sheets.

I had an idea for this layout from the start. Every year we collect decorations on our travels to add to our eclectic Christmas tree. Each year as you get the decorations out the box they bring back memories of lovely people & great times. Our decorations for 2020 are rather different so I wanted to document them.

I cut all the decorations from the first sheet and the bough from both patterned papers. I printed photos of the decorations and cut them out with no outline. I used the Merriest Times patterned paper as my background and placed the decorations  below the boughs.

I machine stitched the hanging threads in gold then adhered everything down using foam pads. I used a puffy phrase sticker plus some die cut letters for my title adding my journalling below this on strips. I finished it all off with a few gold stars.

There is a process video for this second layout over on my YOUTUBE channel if you would like to watch it come together.

We would love to see what you have made with this collection so do please share them with us over on our Facebook group.

Till next time.
