More Garden Pretties, Maggie Holmes | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today, sharing 2 more layouts using the gorgeous Garden Party collection from Maggie Holmes.
Sunshine
I started my first layout by adding some pastel inks to a piece of white cardstock using a stencil & a blending brush. This give a lovely soft effect, perfect for this collection. I added a piece of ‘Trellis” paper to the left & then set about fussy cutting the ‘Garden Stroll’ paper.
I then arranged the pieces over the centre of the patterned paper & cardstock.
I fussy cut one of the birds out the ‘Bird Watching’ paper & added that at the top right of the photo. Adding pop dots to sections of my layers helps to tuck empherma in & around & I added some die cuts, puffy stickers & one of the gorgeous circle paper clips.
My title comes off the Puffy Accent Thickers- Lovely.
Here & Now
My second layout started off with the Pinkfresh Studio Slim Braided Circles Die which I cut & had as the starting point of my page. I laid all my larger pieces on & lightly marked where they were & then removed them & added a little bit of ink smooching & some tone on tone stamping & more word stamping in grey. I chose grey ink so as not to detract from the papers & embellishments as those are the focus of my page.
I then added everything back on & built my page up from there, sewing some papers, adding die cuts, chipboard, puffy stickers & a couple of the beautiful gold, resin hearts.
I made a bow, out of black & white striped ribbon & added that front & centre to draw your eye,
I hope you have enjoyed my layouts today as much as I enjoyed making them!! I have loads of product left but can see me using it for many future projects as it’s timeless & won’t date.
Until next time,
