More Family Fun, Simple Stories | Julie Taylor
Hello Magpies, Julie back with you again today, sharing another 2 layouts using the gorgeous Family Fun collection from Simple Stories.
Game Night
I started this layout by adding some texture paste through the stencil, out the collection, to previously gessoed white cardstock, & then adding some colour using oxide inks over the top.
I cut a 2 inch piece of the Game night paper & added at the top with a zip, ribbon & a torn piece of the B side of the 4×6 elements paper.
I added a couple of upside down tags, more ribbon & some threaded twine.
I placed my photo under the striped paper & added all my embellishments coming down & out from there, adding chipboard, stickers, puffy stickers, foam elements & brads.
There’s so much in this collection you’re really spoilt for choice at what to use!!!
Game on & Play
For this layout I wanted to use the stencil a bit differently so first cut out a 6.5 inch circle which I then coloured using orange, green, yellow & blue ink through the stencil & lightly drew around some of them. I then sewed some messy stitching around this & added it to my page centre right.
This gave me a great area to add my title on, which came from the chipboard stickers, the ampersand from my stash & the Foam Alpha stickers in orange. I then built a big vertical column using torn strips of papers, tags, punched tabs, a zip, pompom trim, ribbon, foam stickers & twine.
I added another smaller circle element down the bottom left, just to balance the page, with stickers, puffy stickers & an exclusive HLM flair badge.
I finished the layout by again using the stencil in another way!!! this time to just draw through, & did small bits all around the layout.
I have loved working with this collection & the vibrant layouts it’s created. Pop on over to the store & take a look at the whole collection.
Until next time
