More 49th & Market | Julie Taylor
Hello Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing another 2 layouts using the lovely Vintage Artistry Essentials collection from 49th & Market.
Treasured Moments
I mentioned, in the last blog, about the washi tape, which isn’t washi as we know it but a full 6×12 sheet & a sheet of peel off washi. Well I’ve managed to use the full 6×12 sheet on this page. I first secured it to a piece of white card & added some colour using some watercolours & then added some texture by stitching around the leaves.
My next step was to add some colour to some cardstock. This collection is very muted, without much colour so I felt it needed a boost & added texture paste, through a stencil, & a wash of a few different greens. I ripped the edge of the card with the washi tape on & added that to my base card.
I then built my page using some of the die cuts, rub-ons, acetate pieces & added my 3 photos behind the frame & that cute fence at the bottom.
I finished by adding the whole page to a piece of Kraft cardstock.
Caught on Camera
For this layout I decided to embrace the collection & go really muted. I started with a bit of soft colour on some white cardstock & cut that down to 8×10 inch & secured it to patterned paper “Airy” & sewed down each side.
I then cut out various sized circles, from the 6×8 collection pad, & added these around the page raising one on foam pads.
I cut my photo into a circle & backed it with a doily & hand stitched around that for added impact. I added ephemera to each circle, to build my page.
My title came from the fabulous rub-ons, that go on like butter!!!
These collections, from 49th & Market would be a great staple in your scrapbooking as I can see my leftovers mixing in with many of my other collections to give a great eclectic look!!!
Until next time,
