Mixing it up with Heidi Swapp | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing 2 layouts using a mix of all the Heidi Swapp collections in store. I love her collections & always think they work really well together.

Time Flies

I chose white cardstock for my first layout & brayered on some pale blue paint & then stamped over the top, using a background numbers stamp, which I stamped in grey & some word stamps for which I used blue, pink & orange. I then cut out a few frames, from various papers & overlapped them in the middle of my cardstock.

I added a strip of patterned paper horizontally across the middle & some torn wash tape below. I popped my photos all together to make a photo strip & raised it up on foam pads in the centre. I then tucked in lots of the ephemera, die cuts, stickers, a word quote & some inked gauze along with a couple of buttons.

I added another cluster, at the top left, just to reiterate the feeling of the day.

Stay Curious

I did my second layout on black cardstock. I love how this gives a whole different feel to a collection. Again I brayered on some paint but this time used 2 colours, this was needed to give a bit of separation on the background & to add a touch of colour although muted!! I then added some texture paste through a stencil, & some paint splatters.

I also added some stamping, but kept it very subtle using a grey ink. I die cut a sunburst, out some Artwork paper & added that on the right of my photo as that’s where the sun was shining in my photo.
