Mixing it up with Bella Blvd.
Hello everyone I hope most of you have been able to enjoy the sunny weather we have been having in the UK over the past few weeks.
This month I decided to pick some bright and sunny papers to make a collection of pages for you, these papers all come from Bella Blvd. I really love the bright colours that they use in their collection, and although a lot of the designs are whimsical, there is some great B-sides and some great neutral patterns that can be used for lots of different styles.

Barnyard – Oink! Oink!
Secrets of the Sea Girl/Boy – Daily Details, Dancing Jellies, Finding Fishies, Fish Parade, Seashore Paper, Count the Waves, Daily Details, Little Fishy, Whale of a Tale

I have 4 layouts to share with you that are all documenting different aspects of my crafty life, I do love to document my crafting and have been known to make a page about scrapbooking too. I have again reached for my Silhouette Cameo to help me create this week, these files are all available in the Silhouette Store. I used the American Crafts Black Cardstock to cut my designs, I find this works really well as it has a solid core, and works great with fine and bold cuts.
For the first page, I want to share with you, I did end up using the main side of the paper which featured all these jolly looking Octopus from the Secrets of the Sea. I have an Octopus that lives in my office at work, and who often receives make overs, which worked great on this page.
I added some simple layers, and arranged my photos in a photo strip style. I then used a die cut anchor and also used a font to cut my title out. Both these die cuts were the then embellished further using the Nuvo Drops.
I added some gems and some dewdrops to the clusters. I also used one of the clear buttons available in the shop, with a small star punch behind, to add to the bottom cluster. These buttons are great for adding a bit of texture on your page, without too much depth.
For my second page, I used a background paper from the Barnyard collection, which I added some texture on top of using texture paste and some inks. These pattern papers take the mediums really well.
I then had the fab hat die cut form the Silhouette Store which I wanted to include on a page about my love of both wearing and making hats. I used a selection of the papers and again the Nuvo Drops to add dimension to the die cut.
I really enjoyed making this page, with colours which are not my normal go to colours, the Secrets of the Seas B-side are great for layering,
My third page, is about my love of sitting at my caravan and crafting, whatever craft that maybe. I used papers from the Secret of the Seas for my background and layering.
I added some inking to the background using one of the Vicki Boutin stencil, this helped to ground my large ball of wool die cut.
I again used the button with my punches to create an embellishment, to add in a couple of spots. The Bella Blvd puffy Hearts added a finial pop to the page.
For my final page, I want to show off some of the fab bright colours from the Addison collection, and my big bright wrap that I made, and that had been keeping me warm during the cooler days of spring.
I had the frames cut out which I backed on to the papers from the collection, I used the Nuvo Drops to embellish these frames with some bling. I also added some detail on the frames using these.
I used the cut a part sheets for the rest of my layering elements and again a button embellishment. I used more of the fab sparkly gems to finish the page off.
I really enjoyed playing with these papers and how the collections worked together. I think I will be making sure I have some of their polka-dots in my stash for regular use. I have shared my process of making these pages as well as a flick through of the papers on my YouTube channel, which can be found here.
I hope you all have a fab month and can take lots of photos to use all the fab summer collections in the store. I will see you in July.
