Mix it up …

Hi everyone, Jackie here today, my project this month was going to be my dipping my toes into the’ travellers notebook craze’, after I got one from a friend as a thank you gift, but though one thing and another I’ve not managed to get the completed book finished, but at the end I will share a few photos of my pages, and hopefully next month I will be able to share the whole book.
So until then, I did manage to do 2 additional  layouts using a selection of products..   My Paris travel album is 9 x 12, and I will be incorporating  several different sized pocket pages between the layouts..
My first layout is Adventure, and the starting page for the album and as the photographs show it the very start of our trip at the airport and on the plane.
I used a selection of papers from Crate Paper – Oasis, Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day, Shimelle – Little by Little and Amy Tan – On a Whim.
I started the layout by applying the packaging technique to the background using  pink and blue ink, positioning the colour down the centre of the sheet.
I adhere Dear Lizzy –  Dreamer paper to the top half and added Crate Paper – Oasis – Tropic paper underneath.  I layered the photographs on a few different sheets of 6×6 paper.

I used the stickers from Shimelle – Little by Little – Accents & Phase Stickers, and used the large ‘adventure’ sticker as my title.

I added embellishments around the pages from Bella Blvd –  puffy stickers, puffy hearts, HLM Flair Badges, Elle’s Studio – Everyday Puffy Phase Stickers, Shimelle – Little by Little – Wooden buttons.

I love this stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio  –  Where next, which I have used in various places around my page.

Tower Selfie, I distressed the background again using the packaging technique, added texture paste, and stamps, which I’ve listed below, and I uses some of the left over pieces from my first page, machine stitching and more stamping.

I used the following stamps on this layout
Elle’s Studio – Sights & Sound Set
Pinkfresh Studio – Go Get it
Kelly Purkey Stamps
I embellished my page using Shimelle – Little by Little wooden buttons, Bella Blvd Puffy Stars, and some of Elle’s Studio Everyday Labels puffy stickers, which are available in various colours.
And here are 2 pages from my travellers notebook,  I have used the same photographs as above, adding some of the embellishments I’ve mentioned above e.g. Bella Blvd Puffy Stars.  But on each page of the notebook I’ve used Shimelle – Go-No-Go Stamp set – as my journalling spot.  In my stash I had a pack of Shimelle – Go-Now-Go – Chipboard Stickers, that works really well with my travel theme.

Hope you give mixing a few collection together a go, and see how your pages turn out.
Till next time.
