Mix and Matching Crate Paper's latest 3 ranges – Craft Market, Journey and Confetti
My love affair with triangles continues ! This piece of paper from Maggie Holmes Confetti range called Fete stood out a mile when I saw it on Hey Little Magpie’s site . What I love so much about the Crate Paper ranges is that everything mixes in beautifully together , so it teamed well with another of Crate Paper’s ranges which I love – Craft Market. The ephemera die-cut packs are such good value and I guarantee that you’ll find THE perfect shape or design to go with whatever you are scrapbooking . There are also lots of gold and glittered pieces .
I couldn’t resist using 2 of the circular die-cuts layered together with a photo hidden underneath which is revealed when you slide them apart – I even got out my brads from beneath a layer of dust to fasten them together .
The Inspired paper from the Craft Market range lens itself to being cut apart to make titles – there are so many words to choocse from – TODAY , FRIEND, FUN, HAPPY , CREATE – lots to choose from. I’ve outlined the word I cut out with a gold pen.

My second layout manages to use a sheet from all 3 of Crate Paper’s latest ranges – Confetti, Craft Market and Journey . I couldn’t decide which one to use so …. if in doubt … use all three ! After all you can NEVER EVER have enough patterned paper . The background features aMaggie Homes’ paper called Jubilee. I used the flip side as I”m a big fan of wood a background and it seemed perfect for this layout of my eldest trying to wrangle a chicken on a farm ! I’ve kept it simple as the theme is rustic so I only added a strip cut from a sheet of paper from the Journey range – this one is Tribal and has a lovely chevron design.
As there were lots of photos to use to show his love affair with chickens ( hope he’s not reading this and yes he has grown out of it now ! ) I made a little maze mini book from a sheet of Inventory from the Craft Market range. I’ve also used a smattering of the puffy stickers from the Journey range – loads of designs o choose from – arrows, borders, triangles and appropriate here – feathers .
I’m also loving this set of stamps from Heidi Swapp especially as one of the words I find myself using constantly is – Absolutely ! The look lovely heat embossed in gold as I”ve used for the front cover of the mini book. See how cute those puffy stickers look too ?

And finally , I’ve gone polka dot mad with Crate Paper’s Craft Market. I tend to use mostly plain white cards stock for backgrounds , so it’s nice to use a whole sheet of patterned paper for a change. I’ve paint dabbed some polka dots in acrylic paint to match the colours in the papers. The 6″ x 6″ card stock pads are a must -buy for me as you have such selection to chosse from, as are the ephemera packs which make layering so easy – I even managed to sneak in yet anoth ‘Absolutely’ from the Heidi Swapp stamp set !
The title was assembled using the Maggie Holmes gold foil alphabet sticker book from the Confetti collection – so many pages – you’ll never run out of the letter you need and the gold is so lovely.
