MIJAS – Cocoa Vanilla Studio – Bloom and Grow – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here and `i’m so excited to be using the Bloom and Grow Collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. It is such a gorgeous collection and has a beautiful colour palette.

 

I started this layout by choosing my photo which had co ordinating colours to the collection. I created a photo mat using papers from the A5 photo mat. I cut a frame in half from the ephemera and I added paper behind it. Then I embellished it using flowers from the floral ephemera and a small banner from the Die Cut ephemera. I added some puffy heart stickers to the layout. I added some stencilling around the sides of the photo mat .

Having created this photo mat I then decided to add some horizontal layers behind it would work well . I tore some  paper strips from the A5 pad and then added them to the left side of the photo and a single blue strip to the right. I embellished again with the floral and Die Cut ephemera pack and then added some bright thickers for a title.

At the top of the photo mat I added the red pennant from the Die Cut embellishment, and tucked in a couple of tabs under the photo. Having finished the layout i felt there was a lot of white space so cut a large circle and added it over the top of the design. I cut off the outside horizontal pieces beyond the edge of the circle on both sides. I then machine stitched over the edges of the circle, and roughed the edges. I felt this really off the look of the layout.
