Merry Christmoose – Bella Blvd – Merry Little Christmas
Happy New Year Magpies, Amy here sharing some Christmas themed layouts with you this month. I wonder if you’re a scrapper who likes to use Christmas themed items in December, or if you are like me and enjoys to use Christmas collections in January to document recent photos. Either way I hope you like Bella Blvd’s Merry Little Christmas collection as much as I do!
Merry Christmoose
For this layout I wanted to use some of the tone on tone patterned papers to create very simple Christmas tree shapes. I selected both sides of the dot paper called “From The Heart” which was red flowers on the front side and pink polka dots on the B side, the teal check patterned paper called “Filled With Joy” and the green tree paper called “Oh Christmas Tree“.
I used a sheet of scrap paper to cut out templates of my triangle shapes. This allowed me to make sure I was happy with the angles (I made two of the four triangles more pointy than the others) and size. I then used these to cut out my patterned papers and stuck them to my white cardstock background so that they overlapped. I put the larger two triangles on the bottom layers.
I matted my two 3″x4″ photos on some of the blue tone on tone patterned paper which is the B side of the paper called “Borders“. Next I added them to my layout. I cut out the word ‘Love’ from the cut apart tag on the paper called “Daily Details“. Again I added this to my layout, this time under my photos.
Next came my favourite part in the creative process. I added lots of die cuts to my layout.
I added Christmas trees and presents underneath them. Then I added some of the smaller pieces of flowers and holly leaves to the large paper trees. I added the Moose along with the ‘Merry Christmoose’ titles. I punches some stars out of gold card to add to my large triangular trees. I finished my layout by adding a word from the Doodlebug gold alphabet stickers, and hung some of the bauble ephemera to the top left corner of my page.
Thank you for taking the time to read about how I created my layout. I will be back later in the month with some more festive layouts. Take Care,
