Memories – Simple Stories – Front Porch Collection – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here again sharing my third layout using Simple Stories Front Porch Collection. When I saw the Rocking Chair on the sticker sheet I knew exactly which photos I would use for this layout!

When I went to Baton Rouge with some scrapbooking friends last November we went to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and outside was a whole row of Rocking Chairs, we took the opportunity for a photo and these pictures were perfect for this collection. As soon as I saw the Rocking Chair I knew I would use them! I chose three sheets from the 6×8 paper pad and used a notepad punch down the side of them. I then positioned them on the white car in a fan. I added my two photos and then embellished around them. Under the photo I used the memories sticker along with the Rocking Chair sticker. Iadded a few flowers from the floral ephemera and another sticker.

To the left of the photos I added a tag from the tag sheet. I added a bird  from the ephemera pack.

At the top of the layout I added a couple of sticker tabs and more  bird ephemera.

To the right I added a fussy cut tag from the 6×8 paper pad along with more ephemera. I also fussy cut a scalloped strip from the 12×12 So Blessed paper. I used it as a border along the edge of the layout.

 

I love how this layout turned out and its simplicity. It was nice to use a different colour palette from the collection too.
