Man in Uniform & You Have My Heart | Niki Rowland using Pink Paislee Lucky Us
Hey everyone, this is Niki with two Valentines layouts to share today. I love hearts, reds and pinks so Valentines collections are something I look forward to each year. This year I’m delighted to be playing with Pink Paislee Lucky Us.
I had the 12×12 papers, the Be Mine Foam Alphabet Thickers, die cut Ephemera, Enamel Dots, the Accent & Phrase Thickers and the Puffy Stickers. Lots of loveliness there!
For my first layout today ‘Man in Uniform’ I used two photos of my 6 year old dressed as a soldier. I used a Pink Paislee Lucky Us patterned paper for the background and added a wide strip of those beautiful coloured stripes across the middle.
I added my photos and a large cluster of ephemera to the right of the photos. I used three playing cards from the Ephemera to create this cluster. I also added silver thread, puffy stickers and other pieces of ephemera.
I added title using Thickers. I used small alphabet stickers in white from my stash for the first part of the title, and then used the fabulous Pink Paislee Lucky Us Thickers for the word ‘uniform’. I stitched through the title on my sewing machine.
For my second layout I used that fabulous paper with all the boxes of hearts all over it. I fussy cut it into the boxes and then distressed the edges. I then set about re-arranging them all back onto a white card background.
The pattern ended up being extremely busy so I left a large area of white space at the top. I added my photo together with some foam Icon Thickers. Some of the hearts are raised on foam pads and some are stuck flat so this layout is full of dimension. I embellished the hearts with little gems, puffy stickers and enamel dots.
I added a few more embellishments around my photo. Most are from the Pink Paislee Lucky Us collection and some are from my stash. I also added silver thread and pink splatters.
For my title I used tiny white alphas from my stash for the first part, then the word ‘heart’ from the Icon & Phrase Thickers. He definitely does have my heart 🙂
Thanks so much for joining me today. Make sure you check out the beautiful Pink Paislee Lucky Us collection for scrapping photos of the ones you love in life! It doesn’t have to be romantic love – I love my children so they are the perfect subjects for this Valentines collection!
Happy scrapping xxx
