Magical Forest – Crate Paper | Amy Kattenbelt
Hello Magpies, Amy here with you today to share two more layouts using the Magical Forest collection by Crate Paper. I want to show you how adaptable the collection is, I used it to create a layout for my eldest son aged 13 and also aged 1.
13 Today
The starting point for my first layout was the numbered patterned paper called Little. I cut out the numbers 1 and 3. Using another sheet of the same paper as my main background, I cut off the top left corner. Next I placed some of the Childhood woodgrain patterned paper behind it, curling the main paper along the diagonal edge for added texture.
I layered papers behind my square photo, and added pieces of ephemera and stickers to either side of the photo. I used the chipboard alphabet to add the wording Happy Birthday to the layout.
To create a little more interest i finished the layout by stitching around the edge in brown thread, and finally dotting the cute ladybird stickers (from the sticker book) around the background patterned paper.
Crayon Fun
For my second layout today, I used a photo of my son from 12 years ago when he is only a year old. I used lots of the cut apart paper called Willow. Grid style layouts are easy to create, and you can have great fun embellishing each section.
The real focal point of this layout is the yarn rainbows. They are so beautiful. I placed the pink coloured one in the top right corner (next to the green coloured cut apart) and the green coloured rainbow in the top right corner (next to the pink coloured cut apart).
I added my title to the top and the grid and my date at the bottom. The i added little leaf and label stickers to the cut aparts.
Thank you for coming to take a closer look at my layouts, I hope i have shown you how you can adapt this collection for not only children photos but teenagers too!
Take care and stay safe,
