Magic Days, Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Mouse | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies & welcome back to the blog.

Julie with you today & I’m sharing a layout made using the lovely Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Mouse. As soon as I saw this collection I knew I’d want it!! It has a great vintage vibe & although traditional Disney colours it’s more muted than the bright primary palette.

I was very lucky to have a few days at Disneyland Paris celebrating mine & another big birthday & what fun we had & as you can imagine loads of photos were took!!! This one was at the start of the trip, the day we got there, dumped our bags & off we went in search of Micky!!

I started with white cardstock & drew a horizontal line 5.5 inches from the top. I stamped on 3 different colours of oxide inks, from the line going down, over on the right, using the Hey Little Magpie Brush Strokes stamps. These give a great MM effect without getting messy & added some splatters.

I then added lots of stamped words over the inking & down to the bottom of the page.

I added a 5.5×12 inch piece of I’m all ears paper, at the top, & added some trims, out my stash, at the bottom of the paper.

I die cut 5 tags & then die cut the word ‘magic’ into the tags with the holes facing downwards. I backed each letter with a different patterned paper & added them under the trim, on the right, over the inked area.
