Maggie Holmes Flourish Collection

Hello, it’s Jo here with my DT projects for March and I got to play with my favourite designer’s new collection ‘Flourish’ by Maggie Holmes. It’s beautiful, if you love florals, vintage and soft colours like me.

For my first layout I used the the patterned papers ‘Calliope’ (camera paper) and ‘Greenhouse’ (yellow gingham b-side) with a square of ‘Perennial’ (green b-side) for the photo mat and a strip of yellow / green floral paper from the 6×8″ paper pad ( I cut two 1″ strips and hid the join under the embellishments. The beautiful floral die cuts come from the Die Cut Ephemera Botanical Pack, a must purchase!

The other embellishments come from the Die Cut Ephemera Pack, the 6×12″ Accent Stickers, 12×12″ Chipboard Stickers, the Cardstock Sticker Set and the Standouts Layered Embellishments. I also cut the framed flower from the ‘Memorable’ paper and the journaling card from the ‘Provence’ paper.

I went with even more florals for my second layout, perfect for documenting a story about a trip to a garden centre with my friends and our car full of plant purchases!

I used the ‘Rose Garden’ paper b-side as my background, more floral die-cuts which I popped up on foam pads. I cut out the labels and journaling from the cut apart papers ‘Provence’ and the ‘sale’ label from the fabulous ticket paper ‘Always‘, love this paper!

I again used stickers from the 6×12″ Accent Sticker Sheet, 12×12″ Chipboard Stickers and the Cardstock Sticker Set. I also used a couple of strips of Washi Tape and the Memo Rose Gold Foil Chipboard Thickers.

I made a couple of cards too, the ephemera really lend to cardmaking.

The first card features a die cut flower shop, a chipboard floral accent, washi tape, 6×12″accent stickers, cardstock stickers and I typed on a blank cream sticker ‘Have the’ to complete my sentiment. The background paper is from the 6×8″ paper pad.

I just love the swans paint by numbers die-cut. I wasn’t sure when I’d have the opportunity to use it on a scrapbook layout, but it’s perfect on a card.

I used the ‘Charlotte’ paper for the background, cut tickets from the ‘Always’ paper, added a word sticker from the Cardstock Sticker Set on top of a strip of washi tape and a couple of Tiny Tassels underneath the die-cut which I’d raised on foam pads.
