Loving Urban Luxe
Hi There, it’s Sheena here again. Today I wanted to share with you what I’ve been creating using the Basic Grey Urban Luxe range. I know I’ve shared this before but I’m a huge Basic Grey fan so you can image how gutted I was to hear they will no longer be producing paper ranges. This urban Luxe has to be one of my all time favourites & they are certainly going out on a bang.

I had the set of 13 12×12 papers to play with and the background for this page uses 4 of them. The pink (Lunette paper)was die cut & backed with the Circuit paper before being sewn to the Pinna and the Literae papers. The journalling cut apart sheet provided both photo mats & the journalling card with added ephemera & canvas pennant.
A doily, ampersand, urban luxe sticker & thread was used to embellish the photo of my Daughter which I’d added a photo effect to.
Special Occasion.
Do you ever have a photo waiting on your desk for the right paper to come along ? I did, taken last year at my Brothers wedding. When I saw the vibrant colours in the Oriel paper I knew it was perfect.
The photo is A4 in size & matted on the Trace paper first then attached to the background sheet. I used urban Luxe stickers & ephemera in 3 places around my photo to create a visual triangle. We had “silver sixpences” made to decorate the tables so I added one in as a keepsake.
For my last page I concentrated on a different colour combo from this range.
My Charming Life.
I used the Fenestra paper as my background & added ink & texture paste through a stencil over it. The title came from the 6×4 journaling card plus a die cut word & watercolour paper letters which I inked.
I layered the photo & journalling card on different co ordinating papers before adding a cluster of embellishments onto a canvas pennant to complete the page.
I know not all the range is still in stock but I hope if you were lucky enough to snag this fabulous range that you enjoy using it as much as I did x
