Loving the layers with Maggie Holmes Marigold | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing 2 very layered layouts using Maggie Holmes Marigold collection. I don’t know what it is about Maggie Holmes collections but I always find myself doing lots of layers when creating with it!!! But that’s fine as there’s always an abundance of stash to work with, that all co-ordinates perfectly.
So Sweet
My first layout is about my daughters newest pet. I say newest as apposed to new as she’s obsessed with animals & would have many more if she was allowed!!! Let me introduce Percy Prickles & I thought he was too cute not to have a special page done about him. I used Becoming paper, as my background, & added a few splatters in pale blue & pink. I added a strip of Full of Grace paper across the centre & some lace, die cuts, twine, doily & charm onto that.
I then added a vertical layered cluster for my photos to sit on, using cardstock & vellum ephemera, die cuts, lace, zip & some stitching.
my title comes from the 6×12 sticker sheet.
Thankful for You
I chose white cardstock as my base for my second layout adding a bit of inking through a stencil & a few splatters. I then added it, at the bottom, to the Sweet Sunshine paper, with some gold trim & fussy cut flowers from the Full of Grace paper.
I made a photo matt, again with layers of cardstock ephemera, a gold doily, fuzzy cut flowers from Stay True paper, & flowers & leaves from the Floral cardstock & Vellum pack.
The swans just had to be used, off the sticker sheet & puffy stickers & there’s even one on the Gold Icon Charms pack.
My title, again, came from the 6×12 sticker sheet & a few puffy hearts finished off the page.
Thanks for joining me today & I hope you’ll pop over & take a look at this beautiful collection, perfect for any occasion.
Until next time,
