Love You Today, Simple Stories For the Record | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies

Julie back with you again today sharing another layout using the Simple Stories For the Record collection. I’m loving using this collection with all the bright colours & fab icons,  & it seems to relate to all occasions.

I first cut down some white cardstock to 11×11″ & added to ‘The Best Part’ patterned paper to give a bright border & machine stitched into place. I added a bit of mustard seed oxide ink, through a stencil & splatters with the same ink & carved pumpkin ink. Once dry I stamped, all over, with some word stamps out my stash.

I picked 2 patterned papers, from the 6×8 paper pad & cut 2x 1″x8″ strips & added at the top, this gave me the base to add my first photo cluster onto.

I placed an upside down tag, below the photo, to draw the eye down & linked it, with buttons & thread, to the photo cluster at the bottom of the page.

I used the negative piece from the Notebook & Torn papers metal die below the bottom photo.

The title comes from the sticker book & I placed at the top over the paper strips.

This collection is great to use & the layouts come together really easily. If you’re interested, the new Nest Box Kit contains this collection & instructions for 4 layouts & extra in a Facebook group.

Thanks for joining me today.

Until next time,
