Love Our Life Together – Echo Park – Telling Our Story – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! it’s Wendy here sharing my second layout using Echo park Telling Our Story Collection. I just love how bright this collection is. I have chosen to create a grid layout as I loved all the small ephemera and stickers and chipboard elements and felt it was a good way to show them, by embellishing smaller background squares.

I used four of the 12×12 patterned papers and cut 2.5″ squares. I used the reverse of one of the papers too so I had five different patterns. I then distressed all the edges and positioned them in a square 4×4 grid. I decided to use a large 6×4″ photo and changed it to black and white as the papers were all so colourful. I matted in on another 12×12 paper, then positioned it on the page. I embellished around it using a selection of pieces from the puffy stickers, sticker book stickers, chipboard phrases, chipboard accents. From the 12×12 6×3 element page I fussy cut the large These are the Moments that Make Us piece. I  used it  at the bottom of the photo as further embellishment. I added more chipboard, stickers and puffy stickers.

I then used a variety of different elements from the sticker book, puffy stickers, chipboard, sticker book to embellish the rest of the paper squares on the grid

It felt like I was creating little mini layouts by embellishing each of the squares!

This is a nice easy way to create a layout but has an amazing effect and using some of the phrases also summed up the photo.
