Love our Life – Pinkfresh Studio – Happy Blooms – Part 2 – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! it’s Wendy here again for part two of Happy Blooms by Pinkfresh Studio. I have so enjoyed using this beautiful collection and am sharing two more layouts. For my first one I have used the 12×12 Memories paper as the background. I gutted a piece of white 12×12 paper and then cut the memories paper down slightly to have a white border . I then machine stitched around the paper.
I cut some strips from the 6×6 paper pad from the striped paper distressed the edges and sewed them on underneath where the photo was to be mounted.
Following this I wanted to use the puffy frames on this layout and having matted my photo and placed it fairly centrally, I added two of the frames in diagonal corners showing their floral designs.
I fussy cut some of the flowers from the 12×12 Blossom paper and arranged them around the photo. I fussy cut some journal pieces from the 6×6 page which was a small replica of the 12×12 Homegrown paper, distressed their edges and tucked them in around the puffy frames and photograph.
I then added some other elements from the puffy frames to finish off the embellishing the layout.
Finally I added the Smile puffy sticker over the photo as a small extra title.
Layout 2..
I really loved the12x12 striped Handkerchief paper from the collection and the blue colour in it coordinated perfectly with my daughter’s dress! I knew I had to incorporate it!! I decided to cut this paper into diagonal thirds and added a piece of white card stock in the middle and allowed for a small border in this paper. I distressed the edges of the papers.
I matted the photo and added some journal cards from the 12×12 Homegrown cut apart sheet, I also matted them with papers from the 6×6 paper pad.
I fussy cut the white edges off some of the floral ephemera and added them over the cards.
I also added some floral ephemera over the top of the photo.
I decided the top of the layout was quite empty so used the final puffy frame. I matted the apertures with paper from the 6×6 paper pad and added some floral ephemera and some puffy stickers.
I decided a few pompoms would be fun on the layout so attached them under the photo and also to the top cluster. I finished off the layout with some enamel dots placed randomly and the “hello “and “best day” from the puffy stickers.
I found my layouts came together quickly from this collection and were all so different too. It offers a broad range of colours and can be combined with all kinds of photos.
I hope these layouts have given you some inspiration and don’t forget to post them in the Hey Little Magpie Chat and Inspiration Facebook page. We love to see your creativity.
Until next month … Happy Scrapping !
