Loud and Proud

Hi everyone and welcome to my November post, hope everyone is recovering from all the Halloween sweets and have been able to scrub the fake blood off your faces!  I decided for this months post I was going to tackle LOUD and PROUD papers and see what I could do with them.  I went through the shop and picked papers I loved from a variety of collections in the shop.  I made a video to show you the papers I selected it can be found HERE.
I found I had overlooked a lot of lovely papers that were in the shop, so set about trying to make them shine on LOs.  I made 4 pages this month, all have a process video which I will be sharing over the course of this week on my YouTube Channel, so pop over and say hello.

The First LO  I made this month was using this lovely paper from the Echo Park Creative Agenda Line, my original plan had been to use this for cutting up and making embellishments, but I decided to that I would never use it up that way so I made it in to a background paper.

I wanted to add some layers to the page, but I did not want to hide the background so much, so I used a variety of mask and my beloved American Crafts Brayers to add ink to the background, I also added some gold embossing powder to add some sparkly.  To carry on the gold theme I use the beautiful Glitter star paper from MME Just Sayin‘ and also the Sticker book, and Project Life cards from the American Crafts Shimelle Laine collection.

I used one of the cut a parts from the Shimelle 6×6 Paper Pad for my title and included one of the great Flair Badges from Gossamer Blue to finish up this page. I am sharing my Process Video for this LO today, it can be found HERE.

I am not sure how I missed this beautiful piece of paper in the shop, it is from the MME Jubilee Collection, I knew that I did not want to cover to much of this paper up, so I printed up my photos really small.

This page is light on layers and embellishments for me, but I really like the finial effect that I achieved.  All of my embellishments were  cut from papers that were either in my stash or bits I had already used used on these other pages.  The glasses were cut from this beautiful piece of paper.

When I first saw this piece of paper from the Jubilee Collection, I knew straight away that I wanted to paint the shields and use as a background.  I took the colour influences from another piece of Jubilee Collection paper, which I used as a photo mat for my photo collage.

I used a variety of scrap from my desk including the Shimelle 6×6 pad again and the Briton Pier collection, I also included some embellishments that have been hanging around in my stash for over 4 years, it great to get old pieces to work with the new collections.

When I saw the crown in the Puffy Stickers from Gossamer Blue, I just knew they would work great on this pages, especially as it is about my and my boyfriend being silly.

Finally I took the 12×12 piece I had from the Kelly Purkey Second City collection to make this page, it is a collection that I have a love\hate relationship with.  I used piece from the 6×6 pad to create a cluster with my photo.

I added washi and glitter tape and also some of the sticker from the Shimelle Collection to help add some simple embellishments.  The Project Life card and flamingo were from my stash but I thought the went well with my Loud and Proud theme this month.
I really enjoyed playing with these bright and loud papers and mixing the manufactures and collections.  As I showed in my paper share videos if you only want a little bit of bright pattern the reverse in normally a more natural pattern, so you will get more uses from your papers, the 6×6 pads also have great scaled down versions if they  bigger patterns scare you.
Have a great November everyone and enjoy being loud and proud.
