Living the Sweet Life with Pretty Little Studio
Hi Magpies, Julie back again today & sharing with you my layouts made using The Sweet Life collection from Pretty Little Studio. The collections from this company really suit my style of scrapping, they do loads of little packs of die cuts & embellishments to add to your pages & I love that.
My first page ‘Sweet Life’ is using a basic grid pattern but I’ve offset it slightly. I added some corrugated card to my cardstock & sewed around it a couple of times in co-ordinating thread colours & then adhered my photo clusters around the page, adding different embellishments to each one. I fussy cut the girl & tree on the bottom left out of ‘enjoy the day’ paper by Webster’s pages & that beautiful crochet flower is by Fancy Pants ‘the Bright Side’ collection.
I decided to make my second page ‘Good Times’ a lot brighter so added some yellow acrylic paint to the background, with a few splatters of pink & teal oxide ink.
I then cut out a few frames, from the 6×6 paper pad, using my WRMK frame punch board, a tool I really love’ & which is on sale at the moment. I added my photo in the centre & layered the embellishments down & around the page finishing it off with some machine stitching.
For my final layout ‘Today XO’ I went back to my love of mixed media. I added some black acrylic paint in two places to the background, this was very scary to begin with & looked a right mess but now everything else is added it’s just peaking out & added a few inked stencils & some splatters. I free hand cut out some scallops & adhered them vertically down the page & added all my ephemera to these, gauze, die cuts, tags & flair, with the same photo but in 2 sizes. My title comes from the fab acrylic words from Bella Blvd & a few acrylic hearts from Elle’s Studio.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I’ve used this collection, until next time xoxo
