Live in the Sunshine | Simple Stories | Morag Cutts
Hi there friends. I am back with another two layouts using the lovely Vintage Coastal collection by Simple Stories. I have really enjoyed using the beautiful collection.
In this layout, I have used the woodgrain background paper – On Island Time. To add a little more interest, I distressed the edges and made some cuts between the ‘planks’ and distressed the edges. I backed the paper with teal cardstock so you can just see it poking through the gaps in the planks.
To ground my photos and layers, I used a brayer to apply some teal paint to the background which ties in nicely with the cardstock. I then added some distress stamps and flicked some pink paint.
I used lots of leftover pieces of papers to layer and matt the photos.
The gorgeous stickers and die-cuts make great titles and layers.
More Vitamin Sea
We have had many a happy holiday in Devon and Cornwall. Although the collection has a postively tropical vibe, there are plenty of elements that can be used for holidays at home.
I created a banner using paper scraps and added some script washi tape for a little detail. The gorgeous cardstock stickers are already layered so it’s easy to add a little wow to your pages. I layered the stickers with together including the little frame.
For more texture, I used tiny paper scraps which I inked and stapled to the banner. I love the extra texture it created.
A little frayed gauze behind the photo and title for more texture – I love the effect it creates.
To add a little more detail to the background and I’ve scrunched up the corner and added a photo turn as an accent.
I have thoroughly enjoyed using this wonderful collection and I hope that you love the Vintage Coastal collection too. It would be fabulous to see your creations so I hope you will share any layouts you create with us on our Facebook group.
Thanks for popping in.
