Little Venice – Arden Creative Studio – Katie Pertiet – Vintage Makers – Wendy Meffan

It’s Wendy here sharing my first layout for June and this month I’m using Arden Creative Studio, Katie Pertiet Vintage Makers Collection. I have combined it with the June Embellishment Kit which leant itself beautifully to this collection.

The Vintage Makers Collection comes with a fabulous Ledger Stencil which I used as part of my back ground. I inked through it using a brown distress oxide. I used two tags from the 6×8 Paper Pad and then chose some other papers and cut myself three more tags. I distressed the edges and inked them with distress oxides. I embellished each tag individually and added my photos to the three larger tags. Starting with the large tag on the left I used some vellum ephemera, a word phrase from the 6×8 paper pad and a material flower from the June embellishment kit. I then cut two small pennants from the paper pad and attached them together with the heart paper clip( from the Embellishment Kit). I then glued these to one of the smaller tags.

I then embellished the largest central tag with another photo, I used some laser die cut leaves and a laser die cut frame which I placed over the photo. I added another material flower and leaf from the Embellishment Kit .

To the next smaller tag I added stickers from the Kiss Cut PET Tape including a ticket, a butterfly and a circular sticker with handwriting across it. The final large tag sits beside it with another photo on it,  a word phrase from the 6×8 paper pad and another material flower from the Embellishment Kit. I then used waxed string from the Embellishment Kit and laced it through all the tags.

Below the tag banner I used the new Mini Scallop Dies from Hey Little Magpie and added to fine strips of scalloped paper. I also used one of the new Hey Little Magpie Stencils and stencilled around them . I added the jd3d wood Escape word and embellished with some laser cut butterflies.

Finally I moved to the top of the layout and stencilled in two areas and created two clusters using laser cuts, velum ephemera and another material leaf from the Embellishment Kit. I inked the outside edge of the layout with a distress oxide.
