LIFE CAPTURED – PAIGE EVANS – BUNGALOW LANE – WENDY MEFFAN
Hi Magpies! It’s Wendy here back on the blog and this month I have chosen Paige Evans’ Bungalow Lane Collection. There was so much variety to chose from in this gorgeous collection and could be used with many different photos. For my first layout I chose paper no 7 as I loved the flowers on it. My first thought was to fussy cut a selection of the flowers and see what happened next! The Life Captured on the cut apart paper 24 was also perfect for my photos. I made my photos square as the frame space on the Life Captured was square and then matted them on patterned paper from the collection.
Having played around with a few ideas of placement of everything, I removed everything and made a mixed media background.
Then I started fixing the fussy cut flowers to the layout, followed by the photos.
Once the photos were attached I added another floral cluster above the two photos to the right of the layout. I added the epoxy camera over the Life Captured camera and fussy cut the Pure Happiness from paper 23.
At the bottom of the two photos I added some embellishments from the sticker book and epoxy stickers.
The layout felt a little bare to the top right so I created a cluster using fussy cut elements from paper 23 and an epoxy sticker. I also hand punched a heart from the reverse side of this paper.
To finish the layout off I added some mini heart stickers and some white splatters.
LAYOUT 2 Home Sweet Home
My nephew and his girlfriend had just bought a plot of land to build their own home in Australia this collection was perfect for the photos they sent me.
To showcase all the different papers I decided to use 2″ squares of the different designs in the 6×8 paper pad. This pad has the most gorgeous designs with a lot of gold embossing on the papers. I made double layers to give dimension and paired the colours of the papers. I machine stitched around a selection of the squares. Some were mounted on sticky fixers and then I arranged them in a grid down the page.
I used the chipboard Home Sweet Home banner as the title across the middle of the layout. Then I added a selection of embellishments across the squares using the epoxy stickers, chipboard elements and stickers from the sticker book.
I fussy cut the scallops from paper 15, and then used the strip as a template to create another layer of them. I then distressed the edges and added them either side of the layout and added some epoxy stickers.
Finally I added some gold splatters over the layout to compliment the gold on the papers.
I hope these layouts have given some inspiration from this lovely collection. I will be back at the end of the month with another two.
Please do post your layouts over on the Hey Little Magpie Chat and Inspiration Facebook page , we love to see your creativity.
Till next month…. Happy Scrapping!
