Let’s Go Discovering – Maggie Holmes – Forever Fields – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here and this month I am using Maggie Holmes Forever Fields Collection. This has been perfect for documenting my photos from a week away with my scrappy friends. We had days out and also lots of fun in the barn where we were staying and it works for indoor and outdoor photos.

I had several photos to document of a day out in Ross On Wye so created three strips of photos and matted them on a paper from the 6×8 paper pad. I then positioned them on white card stock and started to build up my layout around them. Initially I cut four strips from different papers in the paper pad, I distressed their edges and then positioned to the right of the photos. I fussy cut some flowers  from a floral paper in the paper pad and combined them with some of the floral ephemera to make a cluster. I positioned them to the right of the photos and added a word phrase sticker from the card stock  sticker sheet. The puffy stickers were the perfect embellishments to add a bit more dimension to the layout. I added a butterfly and a bow.

To the left of all the photos I created another cluster using floral ephemera, card stock stickers and I created a journal card using the Hey Little Magpie Notebook paper Die. I added some of the sticker book Alphas to this.

I felt there was a little too much white space, so used tabs and tags from the card stock stickers and sticker book to create a small cluster to the top left of the layout.

I used another fussy cut flower with a puffy sticker at the bottom of the photos to balance the clusters.

Finally I stencilled around the photos and clusters and then added some gold splatters.

Do take a look at this gorgeous collection, it really is beautiful.

Until next time … Happy Scrapping!

xx
