Let's Go by Bella Blvd
Hello Magpies, Jackie here with 3 layouts using the holiday theme collection from Bella Blvd, Let’s Go. I recently went on a trip to Malta with my family to celebrate my Aunties 80th birthday, so when I saw this collection in the store I knew it was just what I needed to use with some of my photographs.
So here goes, for my first layout ‘Boat Trip’ we had gone on a bus tour on the island or Gozo and whilst having a walk around one of the drop off points we came across a small bay, which I went down to take some photographs, and before I knew it, I was in a small boat, life jacket on and heading out to sea, the boat trip lasted 15 minutes and it was one of the highlights of the day, actually the whole holiday.
I added some distressed ink the the white cardstock, to represent the water and sea, then I cut a 5 inch strip from the Bella Blvd – Let’s Go weather paper, which I adhered to the middle of the cardstock and using the Bella Blvd – Let’s Go – Border paper I cut the yellow star and added it to the bottom of the weather paper and using the b-side of Bella Blvd – Lets’ Go – Taxi paper added it to the top.
I wanted to use a selection of the photographs that I took, so I choose 4 and one being a selfie, printed them at 3×4 and 3d foamed them across the centre of the paper, and added some stickers from the Bella Blvd – Let’s Go – Sticker Sheet, and a few die cuts from the die cut pack, as well as using the clouds from the Bella Blvd – Let’s Go – chipboard sheet.
For the title I used the alphas from the sticker sheet, and for some extra details I machined stitched over the top. I also used one of the new Hey Little Magpie (HLM) flair badges.
For my 2nd layout, I changed it up by doing a 9×12 size layout, I’m currently loving working with this size, and it is giving my albums more interest with my pages being in different sizes, again for this layout, I distress the back with some blue and pink ink.
Using a 4 inch strip of the b-side of Bella Blvd – Let’s Go – Tourist Spot paper down the right hand side of the page, adding a punched strip underneath left hand side from the b-side of Bella Blvd – Let’s Go – Air Traffic Control paper
and added a border sticker from sticker sheet along the left hand side.
I printed my photographs out at 3×3 and added 3d foam to the back of each yo give them some dimension. Again I added some word stickers from the sticker sheet, and some die-cuts from the pack. On one of the stickers was the phase that I’ve used for my title, which I used the alphabet from the sticker sheet and machined stitched over the top. I also cut out one of the tag designs from Bella Blvd – Let’s Go – Baggage Claim paper
For my final layout using this collection, I had visited Medina, which is called the ‘silent city’ and from the border wall you can see the whole of Malta, so I decided to print this photographs off as 8×12 and trimmed parts of it off, so it would fit on a 12 x 12 paper.
I used my cameo to cut out the word Malta from some cardstock, which I backfilled with various papers from this collection.
I used a border sticker from the sticker sheet and various die cuts, chipboard, stamped images, wood veneer and enamel dots down the sides of the page, but still leaving the photo as the main focus point.
For the date I punched a 1 inch circle and added a heart shape wood veneer to the centre to give the date some interest.
that all from me for this month, hope you like this collection, hop over to the store and cheek out this collection,.
Have a good day, I’ll be back soon.
