Let’s Go Anywhere – Echo Park – Pt. 2 | Jackie Ashton

Hi crafters, Jackie here with a my 2nd blogpost for this month, using Echo Park – Lets Go Anywhere collection.  You can see Pt. 1 from earlier this month here.

For this blogpost I decided to do a Simple Stories Flipbook album.  The album comes complete with 10 pocket pages, but I’ve added extra to accommodate more photographs.

I will share a few pages here.

Opening page

I started the album with the 6×8 page protector and added photographs taken whilst we were on our way.

Products used on this page :

12×12 Sticker Sheet

Brads

Sticker Book

Elle’s Studio wood veneer

The Title is from the 12×12 Sticker Sheet

Flip Journalling Card

The top 6×4 card is a flip cards.  I cut a piece of cardstock to measure 6×8 and folded it in half, adding a photograph to the front of the cardstock. The back half goes into the page protector and can easily be flipped up to read the journalling inside.

Then added a 4×4 photograph to the lower pocket, and added a few stickers from the sticker book.

6×8 page protector

Using 6×8 of the Road Trip paper, I added a 6×4 photograph in the centre, and embellished with chipboard, stickers from the sticker book and puffy stickers.

Adding a 6×4 page protector

I purchased these thinking they would just slot into the album but the holes don’t line up, which I easily solved by punching an extra hole so it would fit. So now I’ve got an additional interest when you flip through the album.

Front – I added some journalling about our walk along the beach and how for the first time in all the years we have been visiting Sheringham we spotted a seal on the beach.

Reverse  – I just added a photograph of me taking a photograph of the seal.

Then for the adjacent page, I just added a selection of the photograph of the seal.

Outside of the Page Protector

I decided to add a piece of patterned paper that would be outside of the page protector. So I measured the 6×8 page protector including the spine, marked where the spine was and scored down, punched my holes and then embellished the page.

I added the photographs to the page, using washi tape from my stash  and over lapping them.

Before sticking the top photograph down, I added some patterned paper and journalling to the reverse of the photograph.

3×4 x 2 – 6×4 page protector

On one of the days I caught the bus to the next town which is a novelty for me as I don’t normally catch buses.  So I added the photo of my bus ticket on the lefthand side and added a Elles Studio Journalling card to the right side with was typed journalling.

6×4 – I add a few photographs scattered on the card of Cormer and embellished with Stickers from the sticker book.

3×4 x 2, 6×4 page protector

Using a cut a part card in one pocket, and a journalling card from Elles Studio with some added typed journalling and stickers from the sticker book.  In the 3×4 pockets and a 6×4 photograph in the lower pocket.

I’ve loved working with this collection and loved how it a completely different colour tone to what you would expect a travel theme collection to be.

That it from me this month, don’t forget to share your projects over on our Facebook page we would love to see them.

Till next time

Happy Scrapping
