Late Afternoon Part 2 | Amy Tangerine | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
I have 2 more layouts to share with you today, using Late Afternoon by Amy Tangerine. The first definitely has an autumnal feel to it with lots of falling leaves, in orange and brown colours cut from the collection’s patterned paper. Plus some plain ones cut from Vanilla cardstock.
I began by spraying orange ink and splats to a cream coloured cardstock and then added two plain colour strips about two thirds down the page.
I backed my photo with patterned paper and journaling cards letting the colours peep through. I added the title vertically on the right of the photo alongside a little row of hearts, using an alphabet from my own stash.
I cut lots of leaves in different sizes and colours which I glued into place, adding gold details to the plain cardstock ones. I added a thread running through the leaves.
Finally, I glued a few word stickers into place, plus a little squirrel from my own stash.
My second layout is a far more summery page which I began by splattering yellow and orange inks in a triangle shape from the top of the page.
Then I tore a triangle of patterned paper to glue at the top of the page, along with two thin borders. I wanted to use the point of the triangle as a focal point for my photo in the centre of the page.
I distressed the edges of the photo and backed it with one paper and a copper foil trim. The photo was embellished with floral stickers, die cuts, assorted enamel dots and a title sticker.
I finished the layout by using a journalling tag which I placed below the photo with more flowers, hearts and a chevron shape.
I hope to see some of your layouts on our Facebook page and maybe the bright colours of the Late Afternoon collection will inspire you to forget winter for a while!
Till next month, happy scrapping!
